Rude Store Personnel
Every day when I sit down to author this blog, before it magically jumps from my computer to the world wide web, I have to log-on through a password-protected site to launch my musings onto the information superhighway. It is on that site that I can edit old posts, filter spam comments, and easily track the number of comments (2,319 to date) and posts (411 and counting) that have been entered into BrianSereno.com since the inception of this blog just over a year ago. Also included among the many features of the site is a section called ‘Incoming Links’, where I’m shown other blogs that link to mine. At first I wondered how or why I’d get linked elsewhere, until links started popping up here and there from members of the media that I work closely with that wanted to share my story with readers of their blog. If I didn’t already feel special (which I did), but if I didn’t then being linked elsewhere would have given me a boost towards specialness. Anyway, I soon got over my amusement, and quite frankly the times that I was linked elsewhere began to dwindle to the point that it almost ceased entirely. However, when I went to post my thoughts yesterday, a new site was listed as being connected to mine. I clicked on the link (http://www.billshrink.com/blog/avoid-holiday-shopping-sales/), and read slowly and carefully through the article while scratching my head in bewilderment as to how I could possibly be linked to an article about holiday shopping sales. Then it hit me, with the bluntness of a rude store storekeeper that I evidently am, there I was scowling back at myself. It remains a mystery to me who the author is, and how or why they selected my coffee-stained mugshot as the epitome of rudeness, but I’ll admit to being flattered. Check it out, and learn some crafty shopping tips at the same time.
That is pretty funny Bri! Definitely worth a good laugh! Excited to see the rude store keeper next week for Christmas! Yey! Massachusetts is excited to welcome you back! Love you.
That is (a) hilarious, (b) bizarre, and (c) total copyright infringement. That Bill Shrink - he’s a sneaky one.
Do you think Bill Shrink is a regular visitor to your blog? Or did someone save the image of you somewhere with a “rude shopkeeper” tag and a Google Image Search found you?
