Shipping Back From Boston

March 8th, 2010

On my latest trip for work I was treated with a visit to my favorite NBA city - perhaps with a bit of bias, however. Were it not for the bone-chilling cold that creeps into Boston in the middle of October and lingers through mid-April (with the exception of some absolutely glorious weather days like today), I might have never left. That said, while I’m currently thrilled with living in Washington, a trip home every now and then is always a welcome thing. On this trip I had the pleasure of seeing my Mom and Dad, Denise, Joe, Uncle Ralphie, Ed, Ricky, Kaitlyn, Pete the dentist, Amber the significant other, and Greg O. among others, not to mention the always warm hospitality provided at the new Garden by Jeff and Brian. If only the Wizards could have held onto a 13-point lead with six minutes to play it would have been a perfect trip. Still, as I couldn’t join the team on either trip to Boston last season (for obvious reasons), despite a difficult loss, there wasn’t a happier person on this trip than me.

Brian, we had a wonderful time watching the game with your parents. Your dad is a walking encyclopedia of sports trivia and i love listening to him. It was a pleasure meeting you. We had been looking forward to the game since I saw it on the schedule. Thank you again for your hospitality and
I hope to see you this summer at a Sox game.Pete the dentist and Amber(SO)

    Brian,
We had a fantastic weekend visiting with you.
It is so great to have you return to Boston and to see you in action.
We loved the opportunity to go to Fanuiel Hall for lunch, and make an addition to your hat collection.
    Love Dad and Mom
